Golf Business News – Royal Porthcawl House Manager Earn CCM Name

Global Edition

House manager Sian Heatley of Royal Porthcawl Golf Club won the European certified club manager name, becoming the first woman to win the award in Wales.
CCM designates to club managers who have a comprehensive understanding of club operations, leadership and strategic management through a rigorous education and assessment process.
CMAE CEO Torbjorn Johansson commented: “We are very proud of Sian and her achievements. Her commitment to professional development and pursuit of excellence is exactly what the CCM designation represents. Sian's success will undoubtedly inspire others in the region to grow with high goals and invest in their own growth.”
Sian Heatley said: “I am very happy and proud to have obtained CCM. I am very grateful to everyone who supports me throughout the process. Being the first female CCM in Wales and the fifth female at CMAE is a proud achievement.
“It’s exciting to see more women achieve this, but it also made me realize that there are still many things we can do to encourage more women to become CCMs. We can first provide strong mentoring and create spaces where women are supported in professional development.
“It is also important to emphasize the success of other women in the industry, which shows that it is not only possible, but incredibly beneficial. By sharing the opportunities and benefits of becoming a CCM, we can inspire more women to take this step and get certified.”
