The Miami Open hosted by ETA resumes Friday at Hard Rock Stadium after early rain.

Two outdoor matches at the ATP Masters 1000 event resumed after weather forced players to leave the court twice in the first two hours of play. On Court 6, Daniel Altmaier will face Terrence Altman, who leads 3-1 in the first set, while Thiago Agustin Tirant will continue his clash with Valentin Royer on Court 5, leading 2-0.

Fans are hoping the rain will subside soon and Miami will have plenty of games scheduled for the rest of the day. On the Stadium Court, PIF ATP No. 1 player Carlos Alcaraz will take on #NextGenATP Brazilian Joao Fonseca in the opening match of the evening. This will be the first Lexus ATP Head2Head meeting between the two. Before that, 11th seed Casper Ruud will face fast-rising home favorite Ethan Quinn at 12 noon local time.

Jack Draper will take on Reilly Opelka in the stands before 12:30pm local time. American No. 1 Taylor Fritz will next face Botic van der Zandschulp before fifth seed Alex De Minaur faces Stefanos Tsitsipas in a heavyweight showdown.

Notable off-court matches on Friday’s schedule include No. 10 seed Alexander Bublik vs. Matteo Berrettini, No. 28 seed Arthur Fils vs. #NextGenATP home favorite Darwin Blanch, and No. 21 GenATP home favorite Darwin Blanch. No. 7 seed Girich J. 70-year-old Moise Kouame. On Thursday, French wild card player Kouame defeated Zachary Svaida in three sets and became the youngest player to win the match in the history of the tournament.
