Davis Cup: Great Britain beat Norway 3-0 to advance to final round of qualifying

A brief doubles swing aside, Great Britain cruised to victory against weaker Norway, which lost world No. 12 Casper Ruud after the birth of his first child.

Draper looked in good shape in his first singles match since last August, although he will continue to monitor a bone injury in his serving arm that has sidelined him for six months.

Norrie was as reliable and tenacious as ever, while Cash and Glasspool performed well against a dynamic Norwegian side.

The doubleheader was one of the most entertaining of the game, with promising youngster Budkov Kjaer hitting some great shots in the backcourt.

Glasspool served well throughout the set, while Cash recovered from breaks in both service games in the second set.

Cash and Glasspool missed two break point opportunities in the third set, thanks in large part to Budkov Kjaer’s excellent recovery skills.

However, world No. 2 Glasspool and No. 3 Cash took the lead in a cautious tie-break – albeit forgetting about the points system for a moment.
