Argentina qualified for the Confederations Cup quarter-finals as the best runners-up in Perth.

Argentina finished second in Group A with a 1-1 draw and, more importantly, a 4-2 record in the competition. No other runner-up nation in Perth has managed to win with four games, so Argentina are guaranteed a place in the quarter-finals.

The Group A champion, the United States, was originally scheduled to face the best runner-up in Perth. However, since the United States and Argentina meet in the group stage, the United States will play Greece and the Swiss team will play Argentina.

The U.S.-Greece game starts in Perth on Wednesday at 10am local time, with Switzerland-Argentina scheduled to start at 5pm

The best-ranked runner-up nation, Sydney, is still up for grabs.
