The Brave has released the outfielder Jake Marisnickaccording to MILB.com's trading log, he played with Triple-A Gwinnett after signing a minor league contract. He will return to the market and hope to move forward with another team that needs outfield depth.
Marisnick's release comes after some of Gwinnett's famous struggles and the reorganization of the Atlanta Outfield Legion. Braves signed the veteran Eddie Rosario Yesterday he recently signed a major league deal after being released from the Dodge. In the corresponding action, they chose Jarred Kelenic For Gwinnett, hopefully the minor league reset will bring the previous highest prospect back on track. Freeing Marisnick will clear roster space and playing time for Kelenic in Triple-A.
As mentioned earlier, the 2025 season has been a struggle for Marisnick. The 34-year-old appeared in twelve games and played 45 laps on the plate. At that time, he produced a tragic .098/.178/.195 hitting line. Marisnick succeeded in his only stolen base attempt, but he was snuffed in 29% of his plate appearance and released a bottom hit ball (average exit speed of 81.7 mph, 28.6% blow rate).
Despite his poor score in Gwinnett, Marisnick made a big .286/.371/.549 slash in the minor league rankings for the Angels last year. He is a senior in 11 major league seasons and has more than nine years of service in the U.S. professional competence. Marisnick never poses a huge threat to the Bats – a testament to the .228/.281/.385 line in his lifetime was in the 2247 MLB board appearance, but Statcast regularly placed him at the 85th to 90th percentage points of Sprint speed, while Marisnick is a huge defender on the midfield court; in 4448 pro innings, he is considered to have 54 defensive runs with centers above average. He was eliminated in another 26 DRs and 12 OAAs in 908 career careers.
Marisnick held his own confrontation against left-handed pitching (.237/.293/.417, 92 WRC+) at least during his major league career. Adding to his speed and gloves, it should win his appearance with a new organization-though it is possible to sign another minor league contract.
