The Oilers got on the board first when Trent Frederic hit home Leon Draisaitl. Things got a little tense in the second half when Curtis Douglas and Darnell Nurse dropped the gloves, ultimately resulting in Nurse missing a total of 17 minutes of the game due to an instigator and a 10-minute misconduct penalty. The first inning ended just like that, with the Oilers leading 1-0 at halftime. They lead 11-8.

The second period was quiet but intense, with Edmonton leading 1-0 heading into the final period. The Chargers lead 19-18.

The game was locked up by the Oilers in the third quarter until Nick Paul came on and beat Calvin Pickard to tie the game with 2:32 left. That would send the game into overtime, where the game was tied 1-1 after three quarters with Tampa Bay leading 33-22.

The Chargers will play their next game on the road this Saturday night (November 22) against the Washington Capitals. Puck drop time at Capital One Arena is 5 p.m. MDT.

The Oilers wrap up their road trip with a game on Saturday when they visit another team in the Sunshine State. The ice hockey game is scheduled for 5 pm (MDT) against the Florida Panthers at Amerant Bank Arena.
