Brooklyn and Washington remain the only teams without a home win in 2025-26
Tuesday, October 21, opening night of the NBA’s 2025-26 season. This Friday happens to be one month to the day of the league’s 80th anniversary.
About a month later, things have gotten as bad as they are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. Both teams have only one win this season. That includes the Pacers and Wizards. Brooklyn follows with just two wins in 2025-26. In mid-November, the Nets and Wizards were the only two teams without a win at home this season. Which team will win first in front of their home fans?

The Brooklyn Nets take on the Boston Celtics at home on Tuesday, November 18th. At halftime, the Nets trailed by only one point and remained competitive. At the beginning of the fourth quarter, Brooklyn trailed by 4 points. However, the team only scored 14 points in the fourth quarter and lost to Boston 113-99. The Nets’ current home record in the 2025-26 season is 0 wins and 7 losses. This is the worst home record of any team.
Half of the Nets’ first 14 games have been at home. The team remains winless at Barclays Center. Brooklyn has lost at home to Cleveland, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Minnesota, Detroit, Toronto and Boston. Their next home game will be against the crosstown rival Knicks on Monday, November 24th. Earlier this season, the Nets lost to New York 134-98 at Madison Square Garden.

After starting the 2025-26 season 1-1, the Washington Wizards have lost 11 consecutive games. That includes Sunday’s 129-106 home loss to the Nets. That gave Brooklyn its second win of the year. Washington started the 2025-26 season with an 0-6 home record. Their next home game is Tuesday, November 25th against the Atlanta Hawks.
The Wizards have lost six home games this season to the Hornets, 76ers, Magic, Cavaliers, Mavericks and Nets. Brooklyn and Washington both have 2025-26 seasons on their agenda. They all have a chance to compete for the No. 1 pick in 2026. The Nets and Wizards have two of the youngest teams in the NBA this season. It makes sense why they strive to win consistency.
