Emma Raducanu withdraws from U.S. exhibition game due to foot problem

Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from two exhibition games in the United States next month with a minor foot problem.
The England star suffered a minor bone bruise in her right foot but she was able to train and is expected to head to Barcelona for pre-season training soon.
Preparations for next season will be overseen in Spain by coach Francisco Roig, who began working with Raducanu in August.
Raducanu, 23, spent part of this month training at the National Tennis Center in London and can now fully focus on overseas training camps.
Not having to play two exhibition games nearly a month before the start of the new season is one way to take the load off your feet.
Raducanu also has a new physio, Emma Stewart, who worked on the WTA Tour before joining the British rowing men’s team.
Stewart will compete in some events next year and will also have control over Raducanu’s fitness program in the short term.
