ATP Finals: Jannik Sinner beats Ben Shelton to maintain 100% record

Shelton, who had already been eliminated, took an aggressive approach in the first set, using his athleticism to get to the net, especially on Sinner’s second service game, where he won five of eight points.
But, as happened in Sinner’s win over Zverev on Wednesday, when he saved all seven break points he faced, the second seed looked clinical in the clutch.
He converted two of three break opportunities in the first and ninth games and hit a string of brilliant first serves, including two aces, saved a break point on his own serve and hit 13 winners to Shelton’s eight.
Both players served very efficiently in the second set, with Sinner dropping only seven points in six service games, while Shelton held three of his own serve while also saving the only break point of the set in the tenth game.
However, Sinner once again showed his composure in the tiebreak, leading 4-1, 6-3 and smiling before sealing the victory on the second match point.
