Edwards is off to a strong start in his sixth NBA season. He scored 41 points in the Wolves’ season-opening win over the Portland Trail Blazers and then scored 31 points in Friday’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Georgia product was listed as questionable against Portland because of back spasms.
According to Basketball Reference, Edwards played in 426 of 445 games during his NBA career, including the playoffs. He started his career by playing 72 regular season games in two consecutive seasons.
Edwards averaged career highs last season
Last season, he averaged 36.3 minutes in 79 games (all starts), scoring a career-high 27.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.2 steals.

His 27.6 points per game rank fourth in the league, behind only Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (32.7 points per game), Giannis Antetokounmpo (30.4 points per game) and Nikola Jokic (29.6 points per game).
On January 4, in the Timberwolves’ 119-105 loss to the Detroit Pistons, Edwards made 16 of 31 shots (51.6%) and 10 of 15 shots from beyond the arc (66.7%), scoring a career-high 53 points.
