Adrian Kempe scores in overtime in Kings’ 2-1 win over Blues – The Hockey Writers – Los Angeles Kings

The St. Louis Blues and Los Angeles Kings played their first game of the season on Tuesday night. After a hard fight, the Kings defeated the Blues 2-1 in overtime. Let’s take a look back at how the action unfolded in this fiery showdown.

The Kings used a strong attack and in overtime Adrian Kempe scored the winning goal on a one-time pass from Andrei Kuzmenko, making the final score 2-1. Kevin Fiala picked up the second assist. In the end, the Kings led 21-18.

The Kings currently lead the season series against the Blues, who will meet again on January 24 in St. Louis. It was the Blues’ first overtime loss of the season and their record is 3-2-1, while the Kings’ record is 2-3-2.
