A few days ago, the PGA Tour was held in Mississippi. Now? We’re about to kick off in Japan.
The Baycurrent Classic (formerly the Zozo Championship) begins Thursday at Yokohama Country Club in Yokohama, Japan, but due to the time difference, you can watch the first round on Wednesday night in the United States. Here’s what you need to know.
Selected first round tee times
There are several big names in the fall series, especially for an event held on a global scale, but the one that stands out the most is local player Hideki Matsuyama, who competes alongside Colin Morikawa and Chris Gottrup.
All three are ranked in the top five odds, according to Fanatics Sportsbook. Morikawa’s odds to win are +1,600 – trailing only Xander Schauffele (+1,000) – while Matsuyama is +1,800 and Gottrup is +2,200.
Due to the time difference, they will kick off Wednesday at 7:35 PM ET. Golf Channel will air each round starting Wednesday night from 11 pm to 3 am ET.
