Arne Slot responds to Darwin Nunez transfer clause theory

Arne Slot denied claims he didn't start launching Darwin Nunez Transfer From Benfica to Liverpool.
A report in Portugal claimed that Nunez, who has not started for Liverpool since March 8, was intended to avoid triggering an add-on in his £85m move back in 2022. It is alleged Liverpool will be forced to pay €5m (£4.3m) once Nunez reaches 60 starts across the Premier League and Championships League – he currently sits on 59.
Nunez is expected to offer a transfer this summer, so the accusation is that Slot intends to keep Uruguay International away from his starting lineup until he is sold and the terms are gradually issued.
When asked if such a clause existed, Slot insisted that he was not aware of the arrangement, but rejected the advice his team chose to choose.
“Do you always believe what the reporter says? Not always? I'm not.” “Sometimes you should do that, but sometimes it's better not to believe everything about the player.”
“It's brand new to me, I've said a lot of times, I work in a club here, and it's very good here. It's mainly the sports directors judged by the players they bring, and it's very important to me to have a great working environment, it's very important to me to be with Richard and it's very important to me to have a great work environment. [Hughes].
“As the last thing I expected to work with him for ten months was to tell me: ‘If you play him, that would cost us a lot’. He would never do it.
Even if Nunez does hit Liverpool's 60 starts, expect he won't be able to manage more things as the Reds will hear his service offer in the summer transfer window.
The Saudi Arabian clubs are considered keen, while speculations that Naniz can travel to La Liga, Barcelona has been appointed as the suitor.
