Blue Jacket End Preseason, Losing Capital – Hockey Writer – Columbus Blue Jacket

The Columbus Blue Jacket has only one game left in the preseason plan. They had a rematch with the Washington Capitals on Saturday night. The results are the same as Tuesday.
Logan Thompson made 29 saves to beat the Blue Jacket 2-1. That way, both teams can now look forward to their regular season opener.
The story of this game is Thompson’s talent.
Game review
The performances in the first stage were very even. Although the Capitals beat the Blue Jackets 12-9, both teams have great chances to score. Both teams also hit the iron. Elvis Merzlikins excels in stopping all 12 photos.
The Capitals scored the only score in the game in the second stage. Declan Chisholm opened the score only 2:38 during this period.
Then, on Saturday night, the Capitals best skater Pierre-Luc Dubois scored the goal that won the game. Dubois has a 2-on-1 run and chooses to shoot. He went a long way on Merzlikins. Dubois’ speed was noticeable all night.
In the last 40 minutes of the game, the Blue Jacket did give the Capitals only 10 goals. They can only restore one of their goals.
Mathieu Olivier had only 1:46 left in the game, breaking Thompson’s closing in the power game with a 2-1 score. The blue jacket has no closer.
For the blue jacket, Sean Monahan and Zach Werenski didn’t play. Head coach Dean Evason said Saturday morning that it was an opportunity to take a break for two players and there would be a lot of games once the season started.
This gives Yegor Chinakhov, Jake Christiansen and Dmitri Voronkov (at the center) the opportunity to impress. The Zhiniu team scored three shots at 12:43 ice time.
For the capital, Dylan McIlrath left the game with a low body injury and did not return. It is worth noting that the rules show that injured players cannot give up. With the roster deadline coming, the capital will need to determine the full extent of the injury and then handle the lineup from there.
The Blue Jacket ended the preseason with a record of 2-5-0. They scored 14 goals in seven games while allowing 18 goals. The Capitals ended with a 5-1-0 record this season.
Next, the Blue Jacket will play the 25th anniversary season of the Nashville Predators Thursday night. The Capital will host the Boston Bruins Wednesday night to open the regular season.
