Amateur Michael La Sasso hopes to get his next big move in his golf career at this week’s 2025 Sanderson Farm Championship. But the dream of a dominant NCAA champion started off when the rare two-rush free throws in the first round were derailed.

So far, La Sasso has sorted out future Pro Golf lineage during his college golf career. The 21-year-old Ole Miss Rebel won the 2025 NCAA solo championship in May.
This victory and his overall outstanding college record put him in second place in the PGA Tour College Rankings. The finished player first received his PGA Tour card.
While he missed the layoffs in the first four professionals this year, including the 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont, La Sasso successfully made a layoff on the 3m open in July. He finally finished T44.
