Edmonton Oilers receive goalkeeper Connor Ingram from Mammoth – Hockey Writer – NHL News

The Edmonton Oilers added competition between pipelines between October 1. In exchange for future considerations for Utah Mammoth, they acquired 28-year-old goalkeeper Connor Ingram. He is in the final year of a $1.95 million cap contract, which Mammoth keeps 41.03% ($800,000).

Karel Vejmelka is the first in the undisputed mammoth, and Vitek Vaněček was brought in in the summer – Ingram became a strange man. But he was the starter of the Arizona Coyotes two seasons ago, with a record of 23-21-3 in the six league-leading games. His .907 saved percentages and 2.91 goals – the average lineup inspired hope.

However, last season was a challenge for Ingram. After playing in the injury reserve, he entered the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program after losing his mother. Fortunately, on August 20, he was refused to return to the game.

However, Ingram was unable to win a job at the NHL Club in Utah because Vejmelka took his chance and the team was obviously happy with Vaněček as a backup. Although he will play with Bakersfield’s Condor in the American Hockey League (AHL), his trade to the oilers is a new opportunity.

Stuart Skinner and Calvin Pickard are currently attraction on the Oilers. However, in the 2025-26 campaign or the luck of bad injuries, this could lead to Ingram getting another chance. For now, he will hone his craft at Bakersfield.
