Jason Kidd joins Everton Football Club Ownership Group

Jason Kidd took the first step as the Mavericks coach joined Everton Soccer Club as minority owner.

Hall of Fame member and current Mavericks coaching staff member Jason Kidd officially became the minority owner of the British football team Everton Football Club.
The coach, named 10-time All-Star in his career, built a legacy with the Dallas Mavericks, winning the championship in 2011. Kidd also won two Olympic gold medals in 2000 and 2008.
Kidd signed with U.S.-based ownership group Roundhouse Capital Holdings, part of the Friedkin Group, which took over the football team late last year.
The Dallas coach said in a statement after the investment:I am honored to join Everton’s ownership at such a big moment. It's a wonderful moment as a new stadium is approaching. ”
Currently, the football team is ranked 13th on the Premier League list and despite a tough start to the year, they have managed to survive in the top divisions, but the season's game is over.
Kidd is in the perfect time with Everton as the club will develop from next season and will enter its brand new 52,888-seat stadium.
Other American sports stars are related to football teams
There are many other major sports stars in the United States with ownership participation in sports teams, and Kidd joins the exclusive list through a partnership with Everton.
Another star in the basketball world involved in Premier League teams is LeBron James. King James is part of Liverpool FC and is a local rival to Kidd's Everton in Liverpool City.
NFL Legend Tom Brady The last major star to be involved with a team, and although he doesn't own a first-tier football team, Brady owns the majority (3.3%) of Birmingham City. Birmingham was recently crowned as their division champion and will be in the second team next season.
The two golf stars on the PGA Tour also have small shares in a British football team. Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth Investment champion Leeds United, who was recently promoted to the Premier League.
