Brien Rea: Dallas Stars forward Jamie Benn (upper body) did not skate for preventive reasons.
Alex Daugherty: Nashville Predators defensive player Nic Hague will be out for four to six weeks due to an upper body injury.
New York Islander: Forward Anders Lee will be out for one to two weeks due to an upper body injury.
Forward Max Tsyplakov is everyday. He skated yesterday morning.
- Stefen Rosner: Islander coach Patrick Roy said Lee will skate himself today.
Colin Stephenson: New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin (lower) skates himself.
Justin Dowling (low) didn’t practice.
Vince Z. Mercogliano: Ranger defender Vladislav Gavrikov did not participate in the afternoon maintenance.
Julian McKenzie: Ottawa Senator forward Lars Eller said he was “very close to 100%. Last November, he was injured and had an abdominal/sports hernia surgery.
“I’m a little behind, but as far as my injury is concerned, I’m not in pain anymore.”
Bruce Garrioch: Senator forward Drake Batherson and defender Tyler Kleven were not on the ice yesterday. Defensive Nick Jensen is on the ice.
Bruce Garrioch: Batherson will be out for at least two weeks in case of upper body injury – pulling the muscles.
Penguin PR: Pittsburgh Penguins goalkeeper Joel Blomqvist suffered a daily injury.
Seth Rorabaugh: Penguin forward Noel Acciari skates in a contactless jersey. It is believed that this is his first time since the start of training camp to compete with the group. He has been dealing with core muscle injuries.
nhl.com: Seattle Kraken forward Chandler Stephenson (unpublic) and Jared McCann (low) did not practice yesterday. Stephenson hit the second quarter on Tuesday.
Lou Korac: St. Louis Bruce striker Jimmy Snuggerud is everyday. Forward Milan Lucic is believed to have adjusted his groin on Tuesday.
- Jimmy Rutherford: Snuggerud left the practice after hitting the board. Coach Jim Montgomery: “He’s good. Anything serious is out. He’s here every day now. Think of it as a bad car accident, hitting from behind because it’s hard to get on the board.”
TSN: Tampa Bay Lightning goalkeeper Andrei Vasilevskiy is missing practice, coach Jon Cooper said he is undergoing treatment and experiencing “player management issues.” Pierre Lebrun added that the longer he doesn’t practice, given his injury history, workload and importance to the team, the more the story will be.
Luke Fox: Toronto Maple Leafs guard Simon Benoit missed the last five days of training camp, but coach Craig Berube said Tuesday he doesn’t think Benoit’s upper body injury is serious.
- Luke Fox: Benoit did skate by himself yesterday morning.
Cole Bagley: Utah forwards Liam O’Brien and Barrett Hayton skated yesterday morning.
TSN: Yes, he feels much better, but Darren Dreger noted that there could be too much optimism about the potential returns for this season’s Vegas Golden Knights defensive Alex Pietrangelo. He just tries to be healthy and get to a place where he can do everything with his kids. Some people approached him and he said how hard it had been for him last year.
Sinbin.Vegas: Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy said forward Pavel Dorofeyev showed up with muscle pull/tug, similar to Jeremy Lauzon and Jack Eichel. Aichel was able to return quickly, while Laozong took longer.
Tarik El-Bashir: Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin was injured every day and did not compete in preseason with the team. He skated by himself.
