Jonathan Kuminga skips Jimmy Butler’s mini-training camp

Golden State Warriors restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga and did not attend a small training camp organized by teammate Jimmy Butler, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Wednesday Today’s NBA.
Charania said Golden State players are working out in San Diego, but Kubinga was the only player missing in the roster last season. The report surfaced amid an ongoing contract deadlock between Cushinga and the Warriors.
Warriors make three separate offers to Jonathan Kuminga
Kuminga, 22, has no contract, so he has no motivation to participate in any team functions. If he exercises in San Diego, the 6-foot-8 wings will also risk injury.
An injury may affect how much the Warriors or another team is willing to offer him. His four-year, $24.85 million rookie-scale contract expired last season.

ESPN’s Anthony Slater and Charania reported last week that Golden State had proposed three separate contracts to Kuminga.
The most profitable thing is to offer a three-year, $75.2 million contract in the third season and offer team choices. It guarantees Kubinga $48.3 million in the first two seasons.
Cushing Province also received a two-year, $45 million contract and offered an option for a team in its second season, while a three-year, $54 million deal has no options. However, Kumingga rejected these suggestions.
Qualified Offer Including No Trade Terms
The deadlock between Kuminga and the Warriors was reportedly continuing until September, due to team selection in player options and contract offers.
Although Kuminga has been asking the Warriors to convert team options to player options, the team refused to place player options in any contract proposals.
If Kuminga signs a qualifying offer, he will give up more than $40 million in margin over the next two seasons, but that will give him a trade-free clause and make him an unrestricted free agent next summer.
Although Kubinga must sign the eligibility offer by October 1, the NBA can postpone the date as long as the team and players agree.
Kuminga is the seventh-ranked draft pick in the 2021 draft, with an average of 47 games per season (10 games) to score 15.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 24.3 minutes per game.
