Carter Hart drops to three to four teams
TSN: Chris Johnston said goalkeeper Carter is going through his choice, and he is able to reach an agreement with the team on October 1 and formally register the contract on October 15.
“At this point, he’s arrived at about three or four potential teams and the two teams I can tell you are the Golden Knights of Las Vegas and the Carolina Hurricanes. And, the expectation here is that for the next day or two or three, he’s going to start excluding some of the remaining teams, obviously where he’s going.”
Rasmus Andersson is more likely to be traded
TSN: Pierre Lebrun said Calgary Flames defensive player Rasmus Andersson is more likely to expand than signing. Either side is extending to close the door, but for now, they will see how things start the season.
“I do think that if there were eight years of offers on the table, Anderson might have listened, but now I just think the team is ready to go there. We’ll see where this all goes. I think that trading is still likely to be the most likely option before the March 6 trade deadline.”

TSN: Darren Dreger said preliminary talks have been held between Calgary Flames and head coach Ryan Huska and Edmonton Oilers and head coach Kris Knoblauch.
Winnipeg Jets and Kyle Connor are not paying much attention
James Murphy of RG Media: Winnipeg Jets Chairman Mark Chipman is not worried about their contract conversation with pending UFA Kyle Connor, who believes he thinks a deal will be reached.
“No, I don’t think my meaning is directly involved, and that’s what Chevrolet did well for us and his team, so I don’t envision ‘KC’ going anywhere,” Chipman replied. “I think he’s part of that group I’ve been talking about. He’s part of our core and these guys are very, very close. I think I expect we’ll do something earlier, not later. My intuition tells me that this might be done.”
