Players and captains of both teams

On Friday, the U.S. and European Ryder Cup teams will begin a three-day battle for the 45th Ryder Cup held at Bethpage Black. Expectations for a biennial exhibition have been building since the Europeans won the 2023 Ryder Cup with a command margin of 16.5-11.5.
Europeans will hope that Europe has won 14.5-13.5 games since the match held in Medina in 2012.
Each team consists of 12 players. Six players on each team are automatically qualified, while the captain of each team selects six other players. Below you can find information about the players on each team and the names of the captains and their assistants.
2025 US Ryder Cup Team
Captain: Keegan Bradley
Keegan Bradley won the PGA title in 2011 and won two Ryder Cup teams in 2012 and 2014, both of which were won by the Europeans. Bradley’s career record is 4-3-0.
Vice Captain
Jim Furyk
Furyk has played in nine Ryder Cup games as a player and has a career record of 10-20-4. Furyk served as deputy captain for the fourth time after captaining the US Ryder Cup in Paris in 2018.
Brandt Snedeker
Snedeker made a 4-2-0 appearance in two Ryder Cup matches, including a 3-0-0 performance in 2016. This year, he is his first time as deputy captain.
Gary Woodland
The 2019 U.S. Open champion has never played in the Ryder Cup and is the first time he has served as vice captain.
Webb Simpson
Simpson was the 2012 U.S. Open champion, serving as vice captain for the first time, but played in three Ryder Cups and won the championship with a record of 4-4-1.
Kevin Kisner
The four-time Tour winner is now the lead analyst for NBC Golf Report. Although Kisner never played the Ryder Cup, he won the WGC-Dell Technologies in 2019 and finished two runner-ups.
American players
Scottie Scheffler
The world ranked No. 1, just won his sixth PGA Tour title this year and his 19th game of his career in the Procore Championship. In two Ryder Cup appearances, Schefler’s record was 2-2-3.

The U.S. Open champion is one of four rookies to the U.S. Ryder Cup team.
Xander Schauffele
Schauffele’s first two Ryder Cup appearances were 4-4-0.
Russell Henley
Henley made his Ryder Cup debut. The 36-year-old PGA Tour veteran won the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March for his fifth professional victory.
Harris English
English is the draft pick for the captain of the Whistle Channel in the 2021 Ryder Cup, where he scored 1-2-0. Earlier this year, he won Farmers Insurance with his fifth career victory.
Bryson Devanmo
DeChambeau is a two-time champion who did not compete in the 2023 Ryder Cup but scored 2-3-1 in two matches in the 2018 and 2021 Ryder Cups.

Justin Thomas
Thomas has won one victory and three runner-ups this season and has played for the fourth straight time after winning the captain’s draft pick in 2023. His total score is 7-4-2.
Collin Morikawa
Morikawa played the Ryder Cup for the third time in a row and had an overall record of 4-3-1.
Ben Griffin
Griffin played his first Ryder Cup a year after the banner, which included two wins and two runner-ups.
Cameron Young
Young, a New Yorker, became the first amateur player to win the New York State Open in 2017 at Bethpage Black. He will debut at the Ryder Cup this year.

Sam Burning
Burns won the captain’s draft pick for the second time at Rome’s 2023 Ryder Cup.
2025 European Ryder Cup Team
Captain: Luke Donald
Luke Donald won four consecutive Ryder Cup matches between 2004 and 2012, with Europe winning all four games, and Donald won a 10-4-1 personal record (enough to rank 14th in history). Donald served as vice captain twice and won Rome in 2023. Since Tony Jacklin won three consecutive games between 1985 and 1989, he is trying to be the first European to win back-to-back victory.
Vice Captain
Thomas Bjorn
Bjorn played three winning European Ryder Cup teams between 1997 and 2014 before winning European Championships in Paris in 2018. This year will be the sixth time Bjorn has been regarded as deputy captain.
Jose Maria Olazabal
Olazabal, a seven-time Ryder Cup veteran (18-8-5 record), won the European team in Medinah in 2012 and served as deputy captain at Bethpage.
Edoardo Molinari
Molinari won Europe 0-1-2 when he made his debut as a player’s sole Ryder Cup in 2010 and will serve as Donald’s deputy captain for the second time.
Francesco Molinari
Francesco will be the deputy captain with his brother this year. Francesco’s unbeaten 5-0-0 performance in Paris in 2018 highlighted Francesco’s 5-4-2 record in three Ryder Cup appearances.
Alex Noren
Noren is considered the pick for the captain but serves as deputy captain for the first time. The Swedes scored 2-1-0 in Paris in 2018, the only cup he has ever participated in so far in his career.
European players
Rory McIlroy
The world’s second place hit his first Ryder Cup at the age of 21 in 2010 and has never missed it since. McIlroy participated in his eighth career Ryder Cup at Bethpage and has been part of five winning teams. He won 18 points for the European total with an overall record of 16-13-4, which put him in the 8th place in European history. (Sergio Garcia is second with 28.5 points.) McIlroy’s recent victory at The Irish Open marks the 20th place in his DP World Tour career.

Robert MacIntyre
McIntyre ranked 9th in the world, winning three professional DP World Tour games in his resume. This is his second Ryder Cup after Rome 2-0-1.
Tommy Fleetwood
On the PGA Tour, the defending FedEx Cup champion made headlines on the PGA Tour before eventually breaking through in a grand manner at East Lake in August. Fleetwood ranked sixth in the world, he played in the Ryder Cup for the fourth time in a row and held a 7-3-2 career record.
Justin Rose
Rose is 45 years old and is the oldest member of the European team. He is playing in the seventh Professional Ryder Cup and has a total record of 14-9-3 in Europe.
Rasmus Hojgaard
Rasmus made his Ryder Cup debut after his twin brother Nicolai played for Europe in 2023. The 24-year-old has won five DP World Tours since 2019.
