The previous second round draft pick played comfortably. Brownie wants to improve his skills on the ball, such as bringing the ball on the court and controlling the attack.

The Lakers selected Bronny James from USC to finish the 55th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. As the son of LeBron James, many analysts believe that the Lakers have sponsored James. If Brownie was anyone else’s son, he might not have started. These are just cold facts. As a rookie, Brownie allocated time between the G League and the Lakers’ regular roster. LeBron and Bronny made NBA history and began the 2024-25 season, the first father-son duo to share the court as members of the same team.

As a short guard, having the skills to handle the ball will benefit Brownie. He is listed as a shooting guard in the Lakers’ depth chart. James favors James’ point guard. When James plays, James is the best, and can be a machete that attacks the basket. That’s why Los Angeles hopes to be a point guard in 2025-26.
During his rookie season, James played 27 games for the Lakers and started a start. He averaged 2.3 points in 6.7 minutes per game. Head coach JJ Redick used Brownies in a limited minutes in 2024-25 years. We will see how much Redick has used in its second season. Dalton Knecht, Marcus Smart and Gabe Vincent are all players seen before Bronny in 2025-26. On the depth list, he could be third or fourth, just like his rookie season.
