BJK Cup: Katie Boulter and Sonay Kartal defeat Japan 2-0 to send Britain to semifinals

It entered Wimbledon’s fourth round this summer since its debut earlier this year, with the 82nd place in the world.
Kartal has had confidence in Shibahara from the outset and gained control, claiming to rest back-to-back on the way to lead 4-0.
Shibahara looked nervous early on, but when she won 8 points in a row to get back to 4-3, she changed her motivation.
But with her rest, Kartal paused Shibahara’s run and grabbed love, which made her opponent feel uneasy again. The mistake entered the Japanese service game, allowing Qatar to take advantage of and win the opening ceremony.
The second set is closer, and Qatar has to dig deeper to withstand the 4-4 breakthrough opportunity.
Although she couldn’t break the stubborn Shibahara’s serve, Qatar took the win at the second match point, winning.
“Theirs [Japan’s] The whole team was very tough, so I know it wasn’t easy,” Qatar said.
“I tried to play the game when things got tough and stayed aggressive. I always supported myself.”
