“To be honest, what do I need to see [from the Oilers]? I think what the answer is. All the pieces are here ’25-26. It would be a feeling. When time is right, when that moment is right, I think it’s a feeling. As of now, it’s really nice to keep moving forward this season. ”
It is worth noting in past interviews with McDavid on this issue that he made sure to emphasize the upcoming season, where the Oilers will undoubtedly be a Stanley Cup contender again. While his retention may indeed be a few years after Edmonton, which could be a problem, people are once again making their own assumptions on behalf of the superstar.
