Golf Business News – Titleist Launches Pro V1 Left Penalty Limited Release

Titleist’s Pro V1 Left DOT Golf, a low-speed, low-spin version of the Pro V1, will win over 30 PGA Tour titles in the U.S. and Canada later this month, part of a limited run.

•The Pro V1 introduces custom performance options on the PGA Tour for the first time at the left point specified on its side bar. The CPO model allows Titleist to test new designs through Tour players, which often leads to future innovations in Pro V1 and Pro V1X models. The left dot is created for players who like the soft feel of the Pro V1 but need to reduce flight and reduce long-term spins.

Its breakthrough comes from the high-gradient core structure, allowing the “spin slope” to be immersed in reducing the total volatile rotation while maintaining the control of the short game. Learning from this design is incorporated into the 2023 Pro V1 and Pro V1X, both of which continue to adopt the technology in 2025.

Since its launch, Left DOT has maintained a global tour of players who fit their unique image on the global tour. In 2025, 3% of touring accessories recommend using the left dot, showing meaningful golfers benefit from their lower flight, lower spin and soft feel.

The ball has been proven at the highest level, including the 2016 Open Championship and the 2018 Masters victory. The PGA Tour winners at the left point include Tony Finau, Tom Hoge, Justin Rose and Jake Knapp.

Finau, who won five wins at the left point, praised its reliability in all wind conditions: “If you can control the flight of the ball, you can control the distance. I know how far the golf ball is going.”

Knapp, who used the left dot to shoot 59 people in PGA National, added: “I can hit it high if I need it, or fly it down. Its response is just the way I need it.”

In 2025, the left point accounts for about 6% of titleist golf balls in the PGA Tour. Overall, the Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1X models are dominated by 72% use, more than seven times the number of recent competitors.

The Pro V1 left-click will be available via Titleist.com and will select online retailers in the United States and Canada starting September 23. They are priced at $55 per dozen, and are limited to 22 per customer.
