The blue jacket previously revealed the appearance of the logo. The team began the process of installing ICE nationwide, including the debut of the Center Ice 25th Anniversary Logo.
A total of about 14,000 gallons of water and 300 gallons of white paint are required, making the entire thickness from 1 inch to 1.25 inches. It requires a certain level of care and precision to get everything working properly.
As part of the ICE installation, ICE Operations Director Sean Murphy talks about the process and what it takes to prepare for everything. This is his words on how the process starts.
“We clean the floor and raise all the dirt in the summer show as clean as possible. Then we put down a layer of water and start. Once we put down a layer of water, we will use a white powder paint specific to the ice. That’s the white paint that makes the ice white. So when you see, when you see a mixture of water and powdery paint, we’ll draw it step by step. Then we’ll put the whole paint and the whole painting. We’re putting a logo today and that’s the exciting part.”
Murphy continued that cleaning is one of the most important things you do when preparing for ice. Throughout the summer, with various shows in town like concerts and monster trucks, ubiquitous grease and other dirt. Their team must clean it as much as possible or the ice itself can become a problem for the year as the water doesn’t freeze properly.
Murphy usually devotes about 10 hours a day to most of his work. But he will come late early to ensure that even the smallest details are perfect. This work has not attracted much attention, but its importance cannot be underestimated.

His job is to constantly monitor the ice surface to ensure it meets the required standards.
Although a lot of work is put into it, the finished product makes the time spent. Logo in the center ice and crystal clear. The water frozen into ice undergoes a process of removing solids to make the logo clearer.
