The Suns chose Day’ron Sharpe from North Carolina for the 29th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. However, Phoenix traded Sharp’s draft rights to the Brooklyn Nets. Sharpe spent all four professional seasons here. He has played 191 games for Brooklyn and played 14 games. During the 2024-25 campaign, Sharp showed his career-best season with the Nets. The previous first-round draft averaged 7.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.
These are Sharpe’s personal best results, as well as his 18.1 minutes per game. He played 50 of 82 Nets and started two starts. Earlier in the offseason, Brooklyn did not offer qualified offers to Day’ron Sharpe. NBA insiders revealed that Sharp is eager to return to the Nets.

Day’ron Sharpe will be the backup center in Brooklyn during the 2025-26 season. He played the same role in each of the first four seasons. After the best season of the career in 2024-25, Sharpe can see more game time from head coach Jordi Fernandez. Brooklyn also joined big man Danny Wolf as a first-round pick at the 2025 NBA Draft. Expect to see Wolf spin with the Nets. His talent is undeniable. If he becomes a legitimate work for the team, Trading Day’ron Sharpe may be more attractive to the Brooklyn front desk.
