Does Kristaps Porzingis have to adjust his offensive tendency with the Hawks?
During the offseason, the Celtics traded three teams with the Nets and the Hawks. Boston separates the road from 2024 NBA champion Kristaps Porzingis. They sent him to Atlanta.
This will be Porzingis’ fifth team in 10 professional seasons. He signed a contract with Atlanta for $30 million in 2025-26 and will become an unrestricted free agent when the season ends. Recently, a fan page for the Hawks called Soaring South Soaring expressed some concerns about Kristaps Porzingis during Quin Snyder’s offense. They are worried that Porzingis will not be able to use his skills in the post.

As a seven-foot player. Kristaps Porzingis is an effective participant in this position. He is an elite scorer for his big players who can dominate the paint. Of all qualified players in 2024-25, Porzingis has the fourth highest post-efficiency. While the big man is talented in the posts, he is not always encouraged to take these shots. Most notably, Porzingis clashed with Dallas’s coaching staff, which restricted his work in the position.
Kristaps Porzinigs believes he is underutilized by mavericks. Soaring Down South mentioned Hawks head coach Quinn Snyder is known for using the position. In the 2024-25 season, Atlanta’s offense ranked last in terms of post-efficiency. Not ideal for Porzingis gameplay. In addition, Quinn Snyder has never had a team outside the bottom of the post-efficiency in the past 10 years.
Kristaps Porzingis will certainly look at Eurobasket further, whether his shootings are becoming more and more consistent due to his fitness or not, and I’m very excited about what he will bring to the Eagles.

Quinn Snyder almost certainly has to adapt to the porzingis in the lineup. Trae Young remains the face of the Atlanta franchise. However, Porzingis is the second best player in the Hawks. Young is known for building teammates and he will likely play a lot in the tour of Porzingis. All-Star PG leads the NBA with 11.6 assists per game in 2024-25.
Kristaps Porzingis is in good shape during the offseason after playing 42 games for the Celtics last season. He just recently finished the match at the 2025 Eurobasket Latvia match. In Latvia’s final match, Porzingis scored 34 points and tried to get his team to win. They fell and the next time he saw the court would be with his New Atlanta Hawks teammates.
