NHL Rumor: Pittsburgh Penguin needs some action soon

Pittsburgh penguins need to lower their “high” demands to put them in a better position in the future
Dan Kingerski of Pittsburgh Hockey: The current Pittsburgh Penguins lineup may be closer to the playoff location than to compete in a potential top draft pick. The Penguins have some players to move out, but will GM Kyle Dubas lower his asking price for a better draft pick?
If/when Penguin owns ownership changes, multiple sources say they don’t want any directional changes in their reconstruction plans.
Dubas said the asking price for strikers Rickard Rakell and Bryan Rust was “high”. I don’t know what the asking price for defensive player Erik Karlsson. It seems odd to stick with Karlsson because his roster blocks a young defender or a defensive player who might turn into a future trade asset. Karlsson does have trade protections and wants to play with competitors. It makes sense to trade him because they don’t want to be better yet. Rakell and Rust are the same.

Will maintaining high prices eventually have adverse effects? There may be a big difference in picks to get the top five picks compared to the No. 10 draft picks.
Penguins will move a larger group, they are still focusing on the goalkeeper market
Stage 4: The Pittsburgh Penguins have a group of players willing to move and may return to the start of the season this month. The group includes forwards Bryan Rust, Rickard Rakell and Noel Acciari, defensemen Erik Karlsson and Ryan Graves, and goalkeeper Tristan Jarry.
Rakell and Rust have three years left in the deal, and only Rakell has trade protection, which are eight teams without trade. Jarry left behind a list of 12 no trades for three years. Sources said the Penguins continued to look at the goalkeeper market even after the acquisition of Silovs’ Arturs.
NHL Rumors: Pittsburgh Penguin and Boston Brown Bear
Josh Yohe of the sport wrote that the team was interested in Karlsson but did not reach the $10 million cap. Carlson has two years left, will penguins be willing to keep up to 50% of them?
