US Open 2025: Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner keep pushing each other to new heights

Two months ago, when the Sinners won the Wimbledon final, Alcaraz was keenly aware of what he needed to do to make sure that this didn’t happen in New York.
Alcaraz and coach Juan Carlos Ferrero immediately determined what they needed to fix – but are keeping it a secret.
“I know Simony [Vagnozzi, Sinner’s coach] Will be listening.
Alcaraz is a prominent player in Flushing Meadows and didn’t drop the game until the finals and could almost serve.
The 22-year-old’s way of regaining the U.S. Open Championship and No. 1 is the product of the intense work he has done to develop the game.
At the beginning of the year, Alcaraz and Ferrero emphasized the importance of improving the serve.
The opening shots continued and eventually collapsed in the Wimbledon final, but that was the key to his success in the past two weeks.
Statistics emphasize:
Alcaraz faced just 10 breakthrough points in his seven games, and he had as much success in every aspect of the game as his skilled mindset.
Alcaraz is often accused of lack of concentration, allowing opponents to re-enter the competition, targeting lasers throughout the competition.
It allows him to confuse the speed of sinners with rotation, slice and strength, playing with diversity in the assembly.
Alcaraz attributes it to his maturity.
“I think this is my first round to the last round,” he said.
