US Open 2025: Donald Trump arrives delaying Carlos Alkaraz and Jennike Sina’s final in New York

It was 14:50 local time and the Sinner finally started the race, but as the audience continued to try to drive through safely, there were still plenty of empty seats – especially on the upper floor.
Each audience member has to pass through an airport scanner outside Ashe, which means they have to empty their pockets into the tray, through the full-body scanner, and search when the detector beeps.
After the third game of the opening ceremony, a large number of people entered the stadium to sit down, but many still lined up.
Martina Navratilova, who won four of her 18 Grand Slam titles at the U.S. Open, expressed sympathy for those stranded outside.
“Let’s make an idea for thousands of people who are waiting in the drizzle – it’s raining all the time – they’ve paid thousands of dollars for those tickets,” Navratilova said on Sky Sports.
“It’s not that he’s coming to the problem, it’s that they just enter the whole crowd.”
