Manchester United defender Patrick Dorgu is shocked by Hojlund’s summer exit

Manchester United defender Patrick Dorgu spoke frankly about the club’s surprising decision to lend Rasmus Hojlund to Naples, saying the move was “a greater shock” than veteran Christian Eriksen left.
Ruben Amorim’s unification aspect has changed a lot this summer. When the Manchester United owners were aiming to rebuild the team and raise all the standards of the club, the Red Devils removed many players.
The likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony, but Hojlund’s exit surprised Dorgu the most.
The loan deal was finalized at the transfer deadline, with the defending Serie A champions being granted the option to buy the former Atalanta Striker for £38m under certain conditions.

While talking to Ekstra Bladet (p. 58), Dorgu said:
“That’s how football plays. You never know when it’s your turn to move on. We know that’s going to happen to Christian, but it’s perhaps a bigger shock to have Rasmus have to move on.
“I talked to him a lot during the process and could feel it’s developing.
Hojlund’s departure occurred in a large number of Manchester United’s turnovers. Major visitors such as Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko have remodeled the offensive department.
Hojlund’s efforts have an impact on Manchester United

While it might be a surprise for Dorgu to see Hojlund leave the club, for most people, it seems inevitable.
United’s decision to uninstall Hojlund and its Cunha at an early stage in the transfer window, Mbeumo’s signing and Sesko’s new striker showed that the manager had other preferences.
Hojlund’s poor form and his slow progress did not help his career in the club. His second season at United was inconsistent, and Amorim decided to move in a different direction, and it cannot be blamed on considering how poor Manchester United’s goal record last season was.
