Dodge notes: Glasno, Smith, hurry

Tyler Glasnow It should initially start for the Dodgers in tonight’s series opener in Baltimore. Los Angeles pushes Shohei Ohtani Start on a regular basis on Monday. Manager Dave Roberts told reporters that it came after Glasnow reported this afternoon that it was following a stiff report (through a link to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register).

Roberts framed it as a precaution and suggested they hoped the right few days to catch the ball. He lined up him up early next week in a match against the Rockies. The Dodgers will stick Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Clayton Kershaw For the Orioles’ last two games. If the back problem subsides, swapping Glasnow for Ohtani’s location on Monday would be the easiest solution.

Glasnow missed months of shoulder inflammation in the first half. He has been healthy since his activation on July 9. He has taken over the 3.41 era in 14 games while defeating 29% of his opponents. Last season, he had the least list of injuries, although it was an All-Star game appearance and allowed the Dodgers to control his innings.

The Dodgers have more pressing damage situations behind the plate. Will Smith Missed the past two games after taking a foul ball from the thrown hand on Wednesday. Roberts said before tonight that he is dealing with bone bruises and he will need to manage for the rest of the season (through Fabian Ardaya of track and field). The Dodgers hope Smith can avoid injury rosters, but don’t expect him to play this weekend.

This has stimulated a lineup. Selected Dodgers Ben Rotwitter Yesterday, he won the third receiver in the active roster. Rotwitter wants to back up Dalton rush As long as Smith can’t play. Roultertwitter will now temporarily occupy the number one on the depth chart. Rush was forced to quit tonight’s game after smudged the ball from his right leg in the sixth. He needs help. The Dodgers declared the injury to be a contusion of the lower right leg.

The initial X-rays recovered negatively. This doesn’t mean he left the woods due to serious injuries. Roberts said Rushing will do a CT scan (passed by Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times). He may need a list of injuries and has been ruled out for tomorrow’s game. This will force the Dodgers to take another move to develop a catcher who can work behind Rortvedt.

That might be Chuckie Robinsona few days later, the May exemption claim was eliminated. The only other catcher in Triple-A’s active roster, 21 years old Carlos Avilawith 12 games on rookie Nookie Ball, was assigned to replace Rortvedt just yesterday. Robinson has not participated in the major leagues this year, but has 51 MLB games experience. His career is .132/.170/.194 batsman, and he has a .264/.349/.368 line with Oklahoma Triple-A.

Smith’s injury has been spent Alexis Díaz His 40-man lineup; he was designated to make room for Rortvedt. Assume they still want to get Brock Stewart When he came back, he didn’t want to move him to the 60-day injury list.
