Luis Ortiz travels to Emmanuel Clase for administrative leave

Guardian announced this morning that Major League Baseball and Major League Baseball Players Association have jointly agreed to extend non-discipline administrative leave for throwers Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz “Until further notice.” Clase and Ortiz were previously on holiday in a gambling survey conducted last month, but this vacation will expire today. As the investigation continues, they will keep their distance for the foreseeable future. Currently, neither player counts on Cleveland’s 40-man roster, both players will continue to be paid, while the league studies any wrongdoing that players call.

“MLB and MLBPA have agreed to expand non-discipline paid leave for Cleveland Guardians until MLB continues to investigate until further notice, until further notice,” Statement reading. “We will not comment further until the investigation is completed.”
