Brewers restore Jackson Chourio from 10-day Illinois to designate Oliver Dunn

Brewers made a quartet deal ahead of today’s game against the Blue Jays, which included headlines Jackson Chourio Activated from the 10-day list of injuries. Outfielder Brandon Rockridge Selected as Triple-A to create space for Chourio in a 26-man lineup. Milwaukee is also activated Robert Gasser From 60-day IL, choose Southpaw to Triple-A and create space for Gasser in a 40-man lineup Oliver Dunn Is specified as an assignment.
Chourio was last competed on July 29 when he tightly applied his right hamstring while running the base at triple. The injury shortened Chourio’s hot stretch, who had faced a 1.065 move in 93 sets before taking office in IL. That hot streak brought Chourio’s season-slash lineup to .276/.311/.474 at 472 PA, which is nearly the same number he posted in 573 PA in the 2024 season. The outfielder also hit 17 home runs and was stolen 18 bases, approaching his 21 home runs and 22 steals in 2024.
The depth of Milwaukee proves that the brewers didn’t miss any defeats in the absence of Vaslio as the club played 20-9 without a key starting outfield. Now, the winery has too many outfield options as Blake Perkins will be promoted to the fourth outfielder with chourio, and occasionally Sal Frelick takes over as the main midfielder. Isaac Collins has established himself as a regular left fielder, leaving Chourio and Frelick in the center and right in some capacity, with Perkins providing excellent gloves on the bench.
