Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly agreed to a €60 million fee with RB Leipzig to transfer Dutch attack midfielder Xavi Simons.
According to Fabrizio Romano, this looks like it will be a “place we go” as the Spurs follow closely behind rival Chelsea.
Attracted by the side The summer reported earlier that Simmons’ agents provided players with all three of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Since then, however, it seems obvious that Chelsea has led the 22-year-old’s signature game.
Romano only reports Attracted by the side Chelsea signed senior talks signed by Simons two weeks ago, but mentioned the need to sell the players’ Blues first and it seems they can’t make the deal work financially.

This summer, both Morgan Gibbs-White and Eberechi Eze have missed this particular point, which seems to be the ideal signing for THFC to strengthen its offensive midfield choice.
The injury to James Maddison was a big blow, and manager Thomas Frank would certainly be happy to bring someone with that ability to fill that gap.
Does Chelsea really need Xavi Simons?

It would be a blow to Chelsea missed such top talent, but it’s not an issue with Enzo Maresca.
Jamie Gittens joined earlier in the summer, and Estevao Willian is now also part of Chelsea’s first team. Joao Pedro is primarily a forward, but can also be filled as an offensive midfielder.
CFC fans may be disappointed, but it doesn’t seem that urgently need Simmons, so maybe the player himself has done the benefits of heading to Tottenham as he should get more guaranteed game time there.
