Manchester United prepares late sign £43m star

Kobbie Mainoo was once seen as a future for one side after Manchester United’s youth system breakthrough in recent years – likely to play a key role in any success.
Even though he is only 20 years old, young people have produced many magic moments, many of which have helped the Red Devils at critical moments.
The midfielder has scored goals in the FA Cup final, while also scoring a crucial goal in the Europa League last season – helping Ruben Amorim’s side reach the final in Bilbao.
But his future in Old Trafford is in the air, with the possibility of leaving his childhood by Monday’s deadline, and Real Madrid, Leeds and Everton are all interested in his signature.
The hierarchy is considering other options to strengthen the sides, which have the potential to get a new addition before closing the windows on Monday.
Manchester United look for new midfielder this summer
Over the past few days, Stuttgart star Angelo Stiller has become a key target for Manchester United’s window, as Germany has made 47 appearances in all games in the last game.
He was reportedly allowed to leave the Bundesliga outfit in the £32m area in this window, but time quickly ran out of his signature deal.
However, the board has considered other options, and according to TBR Football, Madrid star Conor Gallagher is considering it.
They claim the Red Devils are one of several aspects of interest in the 25-year-old’s signature, and Laliga’s side has the potential to allow the British to leave the club this summer.
It is also reported that the former Chelsea star could be tempted for returning to the Premier League, and Diego Simeone’s side demanded his signature of €50 million (£43 million).
Why Manchester United’s latest goal will be bad news for Mainoo
Despite rumors about his future at Manchester United, Mainoo started his Calaba Cup defeat against Grimsby Town on Wednesday night – forgetting for a night at Football Club.
The academy graduates played throughout the game and even scored penalties in the gunfight, but that wasn’t enough because Amorim’s team fell on the first obstacle.
However, he did help Bryan Mbeumo’s goal, which helped achieve the first goal of a slow start to the 2025/26 campaign, which raised questions about Amorim’s future in the position.
Last night was Mainoo’s debut in the new season, after being an unnamed substitute in two Premier League outings against Arsenal and Fulham.
It was obvious that the young man was not in the manager’s direct plan, and it was evident from his lack of league action that Gallagher’s move only pushed him further into the pecking order.
When comparing the couple’s respective numbers for the 2024/25 event, the Atlético star managed to better improve Mainoo in various key areas, highlighting the quality he can add in Red Devils Midfield.
News reporter John Cross, who was labeled as “sensational”, completed more progressive passes every 90 times, has gone on to get more attempts, and his attempts have entered the opposition box – giving new attackers a chance to thrive in Old Trafford.

He also completed every 90 progress, bringing the ball to the last third of every 90, further demonstrating the outstanding abilities that the Atlético star has at his feet.
But Gallagher is equally effective without the ball, winning more tackles per 90 times and creating more blocks – then put Amorim in the ball he longed for this summer.
The club’s £43 million may be a good addition, with the British having important Premier League experience in the Red Devils’ pursuit of glory again.
Any move could be spelled as the end of Mainoo’s era in Old Trafford – if supporters decide to part ways with the young, then supporters may be upset with the hierarchy.
