Team USA ranked strongest to weakest after a bold draft pick

The choices for Ryder Cup teams are rarely without drama.
But this year’s Team USA itself also added a drama.
Because Captain Keegan Bradley had to decide whether to choose himself.
His decision? Bradley decided to focus on being captain.
It was undoubtedly a difficult decision, but how did his 12 players go from the strongest to the weakest?
Ranking of the US team’s players from the strongest to the weakest:
1. PatrickCantlay (Red Cup Record WLH) (5-2-1)
Bradley said of his choice: “This is where he thrives, and then he added: “We need him.” “His record in Ryder and the Ryder Cup was a great 15 wins, six losses and half. He was tenacious and had a hard time beating his own game, and he brought the highest quality.
In Rome, he became a bad boy, but did not confuse him. Not remote. The media was stalking him, his Saturday night game became candid, the gallery waved his hat at him and laughed at the greed he felt, but Cantlay didn’t flash. He will be hard to beat. Very difficult.
2. ScottieScheffler (2-2-3)
No. 1 in the world, but he suffered the difficulties of the second Ryder Cup in Rome. He won two games when he debuted in 202,1 and lost one game on the Americans’ thumping against the Europeans.
But in Rome, he was sent out first with his best friend Sam Burn, who were hit 4 and 3. On Saturday morning, he and Brooks Koepka lost 9 and 7. Jon Rahm’s half made up for the disappointment.
On Saturday afternoon after his second failure, he was actually in tears, which must be a concern that he had lost the two four things he had played with. But he is the best player in the world and he won the WGC World Championship. He will have a great week in the Ryder Cup.
3. Justin Thomas (7-4-2)
No one in the United States played Ryder Cup golf more than the Kentucky man, and Captain Bradley made him his first draft pick. Furthermore, it wasn’t just his Ryder Cup experience that prompted his wildcards – he also ranked seventh in the rankings, so his form is.
Bradley said he was “born to play the Ryder Cup” and he performed well in singles and won all three games he played. He only had 2-3-0 in a quarter of the game, but 2-1-2 of four goals was 2-1-2.
4. Xander Schauffele (4-4-0)
Talk about triggers. The Californian debut in the Whistle Channel was great (3-1-0), but in Rome, it was the exact opposite (1-3-0). He should be a strong competitor in September, not only on the home country but also on the major U.S. champion standard golf course, as he has 14 top 10 in the 18 Nomadic US Grand Slam. These are the lessons he knows.
5. Bryson DeChambeau (2-3-1)
Yes, he has a Ryder Cup record that he wants to change. Yes, he played two fours, both. Yes, he is Liv, not the PGA Tour. But after opening, he was asked about this ryder cu, his eyes narrow.
He was fired, and those present knew. “He’s already surpassed the team,” Bradley said. New York galleries are likely to love him.
6. Cameron Young (first appearance)
“He won state amateur races at Bethpage Black and set a course record there,” Bradley said. “We are proud to have a New Yorker this year.” He will debut in the Ryder Cup, but his best golf is great (the top 10 in the six majors), and this year he is both a gun putter and a great driver.
7. Ben Griffin (first appearance)
“A very confident player,” his captain said in revealing his draft pick. “I am very proud of him and in his two wins this year, one (New Orleans’ Zurich Classic) is the same as the Ryder Cup (Zurich Classic) (four and four goals).
His story is shocking. He gave up traveling golf and found a job as a desk for himself, but then he got the talent for a second attempt and has quickly risen since then. A pure golf fairy tale in New York.
8. Sam Burns (1-2-0)
“Incredible enthusiasm,” Bradley said when he picked him up, adding: “It’s the best putter on the planet, his belly fire.”
He is said to be suffering from being turned away by the Walker Cup team, so he will be excited about the draft pick, a former champion of the WGC World Championship.
9. HarrisEnglish (1-2-0)
It’s easy to ignore him, but it can be stupid. His captain stressed that not only was he mentally tough, but he also: “He performed well.” He was in the top 10 of the three-time U.S. Open, and Bethpage was the U.S. Open host.
10. JJSpaun (first debut)
How good was his year? He is a traveler for January. He was a few weeks late and lost the play-off in the Players Championship. Some people think that was his last blow to glory. But in June, he won the U.S. Open. This is completely another step, but he will look forward to it.
11. CollinMorikawa (4-3-1)
Morikawa was the gun when he made his debut in the Whistle Channel, winning three games and cutting his fourth game in half. So simple math shows that his second game is not that impressive: he won one game and lost three in Rome.
It is worth noting that he has always been a decent companion, maintaining a 2-1-0 record in the foursome and four goals. The brief game statistics this year are worrying.
12. Russell Henry (first debut)
The bottom ranking, this is a bit impossible, but someone has to be lower. Henley qualifies, so he is unlikely to scare the Europeans.
But, he is not a cup. He has won four top 10 in his last six Grand Slams, and he won the Palmer Invitational in March.
