Celtics have agreed to sign their next Izaguirre

The Celtics are stepping up efforts to improve the team to ensure the best position of attacking the 2025/26 campaign in all games.

Nicolas Kuhn was sold to Como and the ACL was injured to sell to Jota, who will be sold this year, meaning the wingers are always on the agenda of basketball games.

The Celtics have reportedly agreed to a deal worth up to £5m with Royal Antwerp for Belgian winger Michel-Gange Balikwisha to fill the gap left by Kuhn and Jota in the squad.

The 24-year-old striker will now be medically available this week before reaching Parkhead to compete for the starting berth with Daizen Maeda, Hyun-Jun Yang and James Forrest.

Balikwisha isn’t the only newcomer to contact Brendan Rodgers’ Glasgow team before the end of the week as they’re also ready to add another defender to the group.

According to Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph, the Celtics have agreed to a deal with Boca’s junior, signing experienced left-back Marcelo Saracchi this week.

The Uruguay international will travel to London for medical treatment with the official unveiling of the new Celtic player, reporters claimed.

However, Joseph added that the deal will not be available at the end of the season and he will return to Boca Juniors next summer.

Marcelo Saracchi can bring to the Celtics

The lender’s ace could be a very solid alternative for left-back Kieran Tierney, while Parkhead’s defensive skill is Emilio Izaguirre 2.0.

While Saracchi may be on loan only for some reason rather than a long-term signing that can win seven league titles, he can follow in the footsteps of Izaguirre, another solid defender in South America who can work at the left back (South America) to help work in the Champions League big European tournament.
