Royal Mark Canha – MLB Trade Rumor

August 21: According to the MLB.com transaction log, CANHA has officially released it.

August 18: Royals announced their outfielder today Mark KahaThe person on the 10-day injury list has been returned from his recovery mission and designated as a mission. The club’s 40-man lineup has dropped from 39 to 38.

Canha, 36, signed a minor league contract with the winemakers during the offseason. He had an imminent exit date before opening day, but the winemaker was obviously reluctant to give him a roster. They flipped the canha for later naming or cash. The royal family gave him a lineup to prevent him from quitting, and later announced the minor leagues were correct Cesar espinal As ptbnl.

The deal did not achieve the royal family. CANHA disappeared twice on IL, once in the left adductor strain, and recently due to left elbow inflammation. Around these ILs, he stepped on the plate 125 times, but produced a dismal silence of the .212/.272/.265 line.

Throughout the first half of the season, the club performed poorly on the outfield, and Kanha’s production was only part of the picture. His most recent IL job began in early July. When he was on the shelf, a lot of changes happened, royal deal Adam Frazier,,,,, Mike Yastrzemski and Randal Grichuk. Canha started the rehabilitation mission a week ago. But with the new additions on the roster, they decided they would no longer have his space.

He is now in the DFA dilemma. He will be exempted as the trade deadline passes. Given his performance and his salary this year at 1.4mm, it seems unlikely that any club will ask for him. If he liquidates, he has enough service time to refuse direct tasks and leave the money to him. The royal family may skip the form and just release him.

If he ends up in the open market, either by refusing direct missions or being released, the royal family will remain on the money. At that time, another club could sign him, just paying the $760k league minimum wage for any time spent on the lineup, and that amount was subtracted from the money paid by the royals.

Canha has had many good seasons in his record track record and has been a solid player lately. He splits 2024 between Tiger and Giant, with 102 WRC+ cuts.242/.344/.346. He also stole seven bases and struck four corners. He hasn’t reached that level yet in 2025, but maybe there’s a club out there and they’ll focus more on bigger jobs.
