Mariners sign Michael Fulmer to trade with minor leagues

The sailor has signed a right-handed Michael Fulmer According to his transaction tracker on MLB.com, a minor league deal was reached. He had made a minor league deal with the royals, but logs indicated he was released from the deal a few days ago.

Fulmer, 32, spent a nomadic year. He signed a two-year minor league contract with the Red Sox before the 2024 season. He had UCL surgery and would miss the entire exercise. He enters 2025 and has the opportunity to get a job in Boston’s roster. He did not break the camp with the club, but was called in mid-April. A few days later, he was assigned as a mission, clearing waivers and electing free agents.

From there, he made a minor league deal with the Cubs. He was selected for the major league roster in June but was laid off again a few days later. He cleared the waiver and elected free agents again, which brought him to the royal family.

In those trades, he threw a 5 2/3 of the major league innings, allowed three hits and two walks, and made three strikeouts. He also threw 54 1/3 three innings, with an average running rate of 29.8% and a walking rate of 10.5%.

Fulmer also had success in his track record. He initially broke into the Tigers starter and won the American League of the Year in 2016. His results were delayed from there, and he ended the game in the bullpen, which led to more good results. From 2021 to 2023, he threw 190 1/3 innings with a 3.55 ERA, a strikeout rate of 24.6% and a 9.4% walking rate.

As mentioned earlier, Fulmer returned to the 2024 season during surgery. This year, he is mostly trapped among minors but is still scouting out. M has lost recently Trent Thornton For the Achilles tendon tear, reduce a little cowshed depth. Fulmer fills some depth without taking up the roster.
