On Monday, August 18, the Browns named their QB 2025. It’s no surprise that the team is going with senior QB Joe Flacco. This will be his first week since the 2022 season.

Browns QB Deshaun Watson suffered a tear from Achilles during Week 7 of the 2024 season. Cleveland knows Watson isn’t ready in early 2025. That’s why four new QBs were added to the roster during the offseason. Among them are Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. As of Monday afternoon, the Browns appointed Joe Flacco as the starting QB in Week 1 with the Bangladeshi.
Flacco returned to the Browns in 2025 to participate in his second term on the team. In 2023, Joe Flacco started the season on the couch. Eventually, Cleveland received a call after the QB injury. Joe Flacco will start his first game of the first week starting in 2022. Last season, the former Super Bowl champion played in eight games with the Colts and started six games. It is no surprise that Cleveland has appointed Joe Flacco as the starter. NFL insiders report that the remaining Brown’s QB depth chart is still being determined. There is also a preseason game that will help Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel or Shedeur Sanders win the backup job.
