US Open 2025: Venus Williams gives wildcards back to Grand Slam in New York

Earlier this year, many people wondered when Venus Williams announced his retirement.
Now, she will enhance her home Grand Slam Championship in her 25th record-long game.
Earlier this season, Williams was considered an inactive player and had no games for a whole year.
Then, thanks to training in the tennis world on Wimbledon, she announced that she was ready to play in Washington, so it was everywhere.
It begs for two obvious questions. Why? Why now?
Williams returns her timing to her love of games and her love for tough courts.
When she arrived in the U.S. capital, that sparkled.
Williams often succumbed to the media, but spoke enthusiastically at her first pre-match press conference.
Her plan is still her plan.
Williams proved that she still had that ability when she swept through Stearns.
When she lost to the fifth seed Magdalena Frech in the next round, she was also defeated by Jessica Bouzas Maneiro in the first round of Cincinnati, their competitiveness was enough to win the U.S. open wildcard.
Some would argue that winning a veteran in more than two years of victory in the 128-player draw has hindered the development of young players.
Others will say that great effects will always be made.
This could be the perfect place to retire and a sparkling farewell like 2022’s sister Serena?
We don’t know yet – but you won’t rule it out.
