Tony Gonsolin underwent brace surgery

Tony Gonsolin Dodgers’ president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman told reporters (including Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times) that the Dodgers’ president had internal support and flexor repair surgery today. Friedman described the procedure as “Tommy John Revision and cleared the bends,” according to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register, but clarified that it was not Tommy John. It will take about eight to 10 months for Gundolin to recover. Rights-handed has been on the 60-day list of injuries since mid-June. In less than seven weeks of the regular season, Gonsolin seems unlikely to return, with today’s news confirming he will be out until 2026.
