Golf Business News – Bernhard College brings practical turf training to Greniger

Bernhard Academy announced that two turf training courses will be offered this fall at Gleneagles, Scotland, to provide valuable hands-on learning for all levels of turf equipment professionals.
The first course is the basic principle of the Turfcare mechanism – Level 1 will be conducted from November 11 to 13. Over the course of three days, participants will receive in-depth guidance on mechanical services and failure investigations, ideal for anyone who manages turf equipment or seeks to enhance their technical confidence.
Thereafter, the Basic Machinery Seminar will be held on November 17. This one-day course focuses on actual daily inspections, basic adjustments and basic maintenance techniques. These two courses are designed to enable the Green Gatekeeper Team and the turf department technician to manage their equipment more effectively.
Each course includes access to the online abrasive wheel safety awareness module approved by the International Institute for Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM). This training is consistent with HSG 17 guidance and 1974 Work and Health and Safety. Attendees will also receive lunch and refreshments, Bernhard College completes the certificate, while Bigga members will benefit from the course discounts and CPD credit eligibility.
