NHL Rumor: Russian Players and Three Teams Interested in Mason McTavish

Does the White House want to ban NHL Russian players in 2024?
Sammi Silber of Hockey News: There is a report in the Wall Street Journal that was considered banning Russian players from putting pressure on Vladimir Putin back in 2024.
Bill Daly on MatchTV: “We never mentioned this possibility, and I don’t think it was seriously considered.”
Teams like the secret group of the scattered NHL draft
Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadians and Carolina Hurricanes are following Mason
James Murphy of RG.org: A league source said the team is still calling the Anaheim Ducks about RFA forward Mason McTavish’s attitude, but now they may have a better chance of leaving him with him.
“I heard that Canadians and Hurricanes have been conservatively labeled, but a team I’ve been hearing continues to show a strong interest. The Detroit Red Wing is the Detroit Red Wing. Obviously there is a history there with Pat and Steve and I really think Steve sees McTavish as a player, which obviously changes the whole dynamic he’s in the middle.”
McTavish is eligible for the form to be offered, but the duck’s salary cap is over $20 million. One agency believes there are many owners who will allow their GM to throw a lot of offers.
Any trade offer must be a monster offer to allow GM Pat Verbeek to move him. Added a source:
“A shot right, top four and future top defenders will be what I know.
NHL Rumors: Bowen Byram, Mason McTavish and Marco Rossi
