Because of his status, he often stayed away from numerous interview centers throughout his career and was asked questions that weren’t focused on wrestling.
Previously, Cena was asked during football matches when talking to the BBC, from his favorite players and Premier League teams to his role in the sport.
When asked who his favorite player was, Senna chose Cristiano Ronaldo over Lionel Messi. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star still had strong performances in Saudi Arabia and showed no signs of slowing down before the goal.
“If I had to name some famous football players, I would start and end with Cristiano Ronaldo. That’s it.”
Ronaldo has won five Ballon d’Or awards and has the most international competition and international goals record in Portugal.
John Cena named favorite Premier League team
When asked about his preferred team in England, Cena name checked Tottenham Hotspur and visited the 2008 White Hart Lane when he visited the UK tour under WWE.
“Tortham Hotspur played the night when the WWE event was held in London. But I was able to go to the stadium and I was lucky enough to really walk on the stadium.
“I really like it because it’s in the heart of the city – it reminds me of a nostalgic and traditional old baseball field.
“I learned that the Spurs were a team of workers and I had to meet the coach and it was great to see the bright green courts in the concrete of the city.
With the Spurs seemingly Cena’s favorite team, and Ronaldo is the best player of all time, Cena was then asked where he would play if he was a football player. Instead of playing a role, the wrestling star fantasizes himself off the court.
“If I were to kick myself, I would be on the bench because I’ve seen a few games and I’ve run a lot – I’ve run badly, or very far.
