Arsenal tie teenage star Ethan Nwaneri signs new contract

Ethan Nwaneri has signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal – reportedly five years.
The 18-year-old midfielder has 12 months left in previous deals, and the Gunners have moved away one of their best young talents.
He said: “It means everything to me and I’m so glad to get it done.
“I’m very excited. I think it’s my first real season and part of the right team in the locker room. I’m very excited about what can be brought to the team and how to help the team.
“I’m a very versatile player, so I think I’m going to play anywhere in the top five and I’m ready to do what the manager needs.”
Nwaneri has been with Arsenal since he was eight, and he enjoyed 37 appearances and scored nine goals in the 2024-25 breakthrough season.
I’ve adapted to the Premier League – Nwaneri
He was appointed as a club player in February in February after demolishing Manchester City 5-1.
“I had to adapt to the Premier League, so I think my body has changed, and it’s also true in dealing with setbacks and injuries,” he said. “I think I’m going to be stronger for sure.
“I think over the past few years, I’ve actually become more direct and have added more goals, so I’m excited about what’s going to happen next.”
