English girls and boys crown international champions – Golf News

England also won 13-8 against Wales since Tuesday and beat Ireland 14.5-6.5 after 24 hours before the final match win 24 hours later.

“We are very proud of this team this week,” said Clyburn, an assistant women’s performance manager in India. “Everyone played their role and both sides won important points in some incredibly tense games.

“When I got into the system, I played some of these games and I knew what it felt like to win after three days of golf.”

Assistant Performance Manager Jamie O’Connor added: “I’m glad we’ve secured a home for the international community and I want to thank everyone who plays their roles.

“This week, the women’s team was great and their continued success in this game was amazing. I want to congratulate them on all their achievements.

“About boys, I’m very proud of the efforts this week and we’re going to learn a lot as a team. It’s been a valuable week.”

The girls stomped in singles with 23.5 out of the possible 27 possible 27 points. In a quarter of the game, winning 6.5 points, the group would only lose 18 singles games, adding 17 points to the total.

The women’s amazing international titles continue, with seven consecutive times since 2016, winning 15 victories in the last 16 matches, and only Ireland stopped playing in 2016.

Charlotte Naughton (Longhirst Hall), Annabel Peaford (Walton Heath) and Elizabeth Wilson (Norwood Park) will all win all six games (three foursomes and three singles).

“We wanted to win, but the overall performance exceeded expectations,” Clayburn concluded. “Winning 17 out of 18 points is a huge achievement and everyone deserves the praise they have received.”

Meanwhile, the boys were led by the undefeated Alex Boyes, who added 5.5 points to five out of six. Boyes won all three singles matches and will also build a strong partnership with Teesider Thomas Hartshorne as the pair scored two and a half points in three fours
