R&A has appointed Dr. Brett Morris as his sustainable agronomy team in the Asia-Pacific region. He will have more than thirty years of expertise in turf science and convenience gardening, and he will play a key role in advancing sustainable practices in the agronomic landscape of golf.
Dr Morris is a highly respected leader in the global turf industry, joining R&A of Syngenta Professional Solutions, where he worked as a technical service manager in Australia and New Zealand.
His career spans 34 years, including 15 years as the principal of the golf course who manages various turf systems in public, private and resort courses in Australia, private and resorts. His agronomic portfolio also includes oversight of Australia’s top 100 golf courses, major tracks and international football stadiums for television events.
In addition to his hands-on experience, Dr. Morris holds a PhD in Turf Science and Reproduction and promotes innovation in the academic, commercial and R&D sectors. His work is useful in developing groundbreaking turf solutions, including novel chemical, biological products and surfactant technologies. He is a popular speaker who regularly shares insights on turf management at global conferences.
